Op Alliances - Vehicle Crime Operation in Wolvey

Dear Residents, 

Rugby Rural North/South and Central teams have been out and about this evening in Wolvey as part of Operation Alliances targeting vehicle crime on our areas.

As the evenings get darker earlier we tend to see an increase in vehicle crime in our areas so officers in plain clothes and uniformed officers have been out on targeted patrols trying car doors to see how many vehicles are actually secured.

We identified 10 vehicles that had been left insecure in the Wolvey area this evening.

Uniformed officers knocked the doors on those that had left their vehicles insecure to raise awareness at how easy and quick it is to steal a car and how much easier it becomes for the thieves when vehicles are left insecure offering crime prevention advice to those who's vehicles we identified as being insecure.

We have had lots of positive engagement this evening with local residents in the area and we would just like to remind people about keeping their vehicles secure removing all belongings from their vehicles at night 

let's not make it easy for car thieves.
